This is our handy list of dos and don'ts for travel in Switzerland, Italy and other such places.
DO take a
lot of money with you to Switzerland.
DON'T expect to return with too much of it - Switzerland is really expensive.
DO weigh
your produce at the store before going to the checkout.
DON'T expect 3lbs of meat to cost less than 50CHF.
DO enjoy
your own Toblerone and ration it accordingly.
DON'T expect your students to give you their's.
DO take playing cards
with you.
DON'T sit around all day playing.
DO lounge by a pool with
a great view of the Italian countryside,
DON'T forget sunscreen - ouch!
DO check what time the
store's open,
DON'T expect the store to be open after 5pm, at lunchtime, early in the morning,
at the weekend, on Tuesday...actually come to think of it, just don't EXPECT
the store to be open!
