It turned out that the owner of Chasa 89 was right—the
house DID survive a week of Americans. Despite our success, we relocated to
Le Punt to be closer to the field areas for the last part of the class.
Our home in La Punt was owned by Herr Laudenbacher who left this house in his will to be used by students of Alpine studies in the Engadine.
Inside the Laudenbacher house. Herr Laudenbacher was a hunter, evidence for which can be clearly seen!!!
And in the basement, a museum illustrating a rural Swiss house of the 1800's.
(Note the cowbell hanging from the beam... that was too big for the students (see the next day!!)).
