Professor Barbara John		Professor Mike Cheadle
	Bobbie’s research focuses on deformation of the continental lithosphere, deformation of oceanic lithosphere, and magmatism and deformation. Bobbie's one tough lady, she broke her ankle a matter of weeks before the trip but still came and hiked around with us, we were all in awe of her!		Mike’s current research focuses on igneous processes and the tectonics of slow-spreading oceanic ridges. Here Mike’s demonstrating his dapper fashion sense, we’ve no idea what he was thinking either! But he tells us this is quite tame compared to his younger days.
Kay Achenbach		Graham Baines
	Kay is working with Prof. Cheadle, analysing textures in samples of peridotite from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge recovered during ODP Leg 209. Kay became our resident botanist, many an Alpen meadow echo'd to the cry of "ooo, what's this flower?"		Graham is a geophysics student working with Prof. Cheadle. He's analysing potential field and bathymetry data from the Southwest Indian Ridge. Graham likes to think he's an Aussie (check out the hat), but actually he's from over the pond. He made sure we were always on time or even 'early'.
Craig Grimes		Elena Miranda
	Craig is working with Prof. John, dating minerals from rocks obtained on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It seems Craig developed a real affinity for farm animals while growing up on a farm in Ohio! Her project involves analysing deformed gabbros from Atlantis Bank on the Southwest Indian Ridge Elena was a real saviour on the trip, her cooking expertise was invaluable and she knows her geology too.
Josh Schwartz		Donna Shillington
	Josh is working with Profs. John and Art Snoke. One aspect of his research is thermochronologic dating gabbros from Atlantis Bank on the Southwest Indian Ridge. Josh decided to try and blend in with the locals by wearing a Swiss hat and talking with a German accent, we're pretty sure it didn't work!		Donna recently finished her PhD with Prof. Steve Holbrook at UW. She’s an active source seismologist interested in non-volcanic rifted margins. She is now a post-doc at Southampton Oceanographic Centre, England. Donna was a real card player.
