For course reserves either go to the Geology Library desk, or for on-line ones, go to the UW Library site's Course Reserves Page and search using Howell as the instructor.
For electronic journals listed or linked below the University does have a subscription, but in most cases if you try to access them from off-campus the journal's system may not recognize that subscription. Either download a pdf copy while connected through the University net, or follow the procedures described on the UW Library web site for accessing e-journals while off campus. I usually find the downloaded PDF's easier to read than the on-line web versions, and you can then either print them or view them on a computer off-campus.
Read Chapter 1 of Wood (on reserve).

Note the maps and images in the original scanned version on the ADS web site are not very good.
The above link is to a local copy where I've added better versions of the map and image.
Here is a link to the original ADS copy in case you do want to see that.

You can just skim the middle section on the power spectra, coherence, and the discussion of Figure 2. Concentrate on the introduction and also the section describing the free-air and Bouguer gravity anomalies shown in Fig. 3.
The papers for this week are all from the Sept. 13, 2014 issue of "Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society" which reports the results of the third major conference on lunar origins held in Sept. 2013. We will cover the brief introduction by Stevenson and Halliday, then the first main paper by Hartmann. For the latter, skim the history section and concentrate on "current issues". We'll then cover the final paper of the series by Crawford and Joy, summarizing the exporation history of the moon and how future new observations and samples could address current issues. Once again skim the history and concentrate on the later sections. While not required reading, other papers from the Transactions are available on-line.
